Reports To: Deputy Care Operations Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 10:30am to 23:00pm

Pay rate: £13.49 p/h for days; £14.49 p/h for nights and weekends

Annual Remuneration: Starting from £30,819.60

What Youll Be Doing

  • You will be responsible for leading and developing a team providing safe and dignified transport services, including:
  • Ensuring high-quality patient care during transfers, ensuring safety, comfort, and professionalism
  • Training and mentoring new and existing team members
  • Maintaining vehicle standards and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Supervising and coaching the team to deliver exceptional care while maintaining a positive team culture
  • Collaborating with the Deputy Care Operations Manager and other business leaders to implement best practices and new initiatives
  • Managing rotas and optimising team productivity while balancing patient care and business goals
  • Supporting business development through building relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Deputising for the Deputy Care Operations Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of service

Requirements

  • Full UK Manual Driving License (Required)
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate within the last 3 years (Preferred)
  • Experience in managing and developing teams in a healthcare or transport environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and manage difficult situations
  • Passionate about patient care, demonstrating empathy and respect in all interactions
  • Minimum 12 months driving experience in a relevant setting preferred
  • Ability to act as a role model for quality patient care and company values

Please Note: Due to the nature of our work, flexibility is essential. Shifts may vary depending on patient needs, and overtime may occasionally be required. Over runs are paid at an additional £8 p/h. Enhanced Pay (£1.20 p/h) for work involving Place of Safety and Bed Watch activities. Additional shift enhancements of £1.75 p/h may apply for call-ins or extra shifts.
