Overview

We are looking for experienced, caring and committed Mental Health Transport Assistants with an engaging approach who are keen to enhance their skills within the Mental Health sector. Whilst previous experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement as full bespoke accredited training will be provided by our dedicated team of experienced trainers.
You will need to be a passionate, empathetic and a highly motivated individual who thrives working in a close knit team to deliver exceptional quality care to our patients. This is not just a driving job, it is about taking the patient on a journey from one setting to another with safety, care, respect, consideration and empathy to make that transition as smooth as it possibly can be. There may be times when trained techniques need to be used for the patients safety, either in a place of safety, a vehicle or other settings. The job satisfaction comes from knowing that you have played an integral part in their time of crisis.

Background & Experience

Job Details
Mental Health Transport Assistant Fulltime 42.1 hours contract – Worked on a 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern, alternating between 4 days and 4 nights.
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to the nature of the Business and Client requirements, we reserve the right to change the working times with reasonable notice. At times flexibility will be needed due to the care provisions for patients which may result in over‑runs or the need to reduce hours depending on work levels.
Remuneration from 1st May:
This contract is paid at a blended rate of £12.88 p / h (Day, Night and Weekend Shifts). Annual Remuneration to start from £28,214.85 based on expected hours. This is to be discussed during the interview process.
- Over‑runs paid at £22p / h
- Enhanced pay of £1.20 extra per hour for work at a Mental Health ‘place of safety’ and bed watch activities, supporting ward staff.
- Shift pay enhancements are also available for some call‑in or overtime shifts, additional £1.75p / h. Further information will be discussed during the interview process.
