Senior Fire Alarm Engineer position available
- Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE
- On-call rota: 1 in 5 weeks (£150 standby payment per week) - door to door paid whilst on call
- Automatic company vehicle with personal use
- Overtime readily available & Sundays paid at double time

Role Overview
Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Engineer to join their engineering team. This position will suit a technically strong engineer with extensive knowledge of servicing, commissioning and small works on complex fire alarm installations. You will be working across a variety of sophisticated multi-networked systems and open protocol platforms, providing expert support to clients while maintaining the highest technical standards. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also play an important role in mentoring and supporting junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping to develop the next generation of talent within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and commission fire alarm systems across commercial sites
- Carry out small works and system modifications
- Diagnose and rectify faults on complex fire alarm networks
- Work on open protocol fire alarm systems
- Support project delivery and commissioning activities
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Complete all relevant documentation and compliance records
- Deliver exceptional levels of customer service
- Participate in the on-call rota
Requirements of a Senior Fire Alarm Engineer
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer
- Strong commissioning and fault-finding capabilities
- Experience working with networked and complex fire alarm systems
- Knowledge of open protocol systems
- Ability to carry out servicing, commissioning and small works independently
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers would be advantageous
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
