Our client is a well-established Fire Protection specialist with over a decade of experience delivering high-quality solutions across the UK. They are recognised for their expertise in Fire Alarm & Gas Suppression, supporting a portfolio of prestigious commercial environments and critical infrastructure sites, including high-profile Data Centres.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Fire Systems Service & Small Works Manager to lead operational delivery across service and project works.
Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and technically strong Fire Systems professional who enjoys leading teams, managing client relationships, and driving operational performance. You will take ownership of service operations and small works projects valued up to £100k, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting engineers, maintaining customer satisfaction, and overseeing day-to-day operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of service and small works operations
- Overseeing projects from initial planning through to completion
- Coordinating engineers, labour allocation, scheduling, and materials
- Providing technical support across Fire Alarm and Gas Suppression systems
- Managing operational budgets and P&L responsibilities
- Supporting and leading a team of 12 engineers and scheduling staff
- Attending client meetings and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Ensuring projects are completed to industry standards and client expectations
- Monitoring performance, productivity, and service delivery targets
Requirements
- Strong background within the Fire & Security industry
- Experience managing Fire Alarm and/or Gas Suppression service operations
- Previous leadership or management experience overseeing engineers and operational teams
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and project costs
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Client-facing experience with excellent relationship management skills
