Role Overview
As a Lead Fire Alarm Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, fault finding and commissioning fire alarm systems across a portfolio of commercial customers throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands. One of the key benefits of this role is the local patch, with all sites located within approximately one hour of Birmingham, providing a better work-life balance and significantly reducing long-distance travel. This position would suit an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer looking to take the next step in their career while remaining hands-on and technically involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems
- Fault diagnosis and rectification
- Commissioning of Fire Alarm systems
- Providing excellent customer service on site
- Identifying remedial works and additional opportunities
- Completing electronic service reports accurately
- Working in accordance with current industry standards and Health & Safety procedures
- Participating in a low-frequency call-out rota
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong experience servicing and commissioning Fire Alarm systems
- Excellent fault-finding abilities
- Experience working within commercial environments
- Gent product knowledge (preferred but not essential)
- A full UK Driving Licence
