The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Seniorto join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional looking to develop their career within a supportive practice environment, with exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within an accountancy practice and be confident managing a range of personal and business tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of personal and business tax clients.
- Preparing and reviewing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns.
- Preparing tax computations and supporting schedules.
- Providing clients with practical tax advice and identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Assisting with year-end accounts and tax-related queries where required.
- Managing client deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Dealing directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing work where appropriate.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- CTA or ATT qualification is essential
- Previous tax experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK personal and/or corporate taxation.
- Experience preparing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Good communication and client relationship skills.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and work to deadlines.
- Strong IT skills and experience using accountancy/tax software.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work.
