The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in City of London. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant who enjoys working in practice and is ready to take the next step in their career. You will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, develop your technical skills and play an important role within a collaborative and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
  • Supporting with accounts preparation and other practice-based assignments
  • Building strong relationships with clients and providing a high level of service
  • Supporting and mentoring trainee accountants
  • Reviewing work and helping to develop junior members of the team
  • Working closely with senior colleagues across the practice
  • Taking on increasing responsibility as your experience develops
  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice

About You

The successful candidate will be a newly qualified accountant with experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.

You will ideally:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or recently qualified
  • Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice
  • Have experience preparing statutory accounts
  • Be confident communicating with clients and colleagues
  • Enjoy supporting and developing more junior team members
  • Be commercially aware, organised and keen to develop
  • Have a proactive approach and a genuine interest in progressing your career
