The Role
Working as part of the tax team, you'll have a varied workload covering both compliance and advisory support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing personal and business tax returns.
- Preparing tax computations and supporting schedules.
- Assisting with self-assessment and corporation tax work.
- Supporting tax planning and advisory assignments.
- Dealing with client queries and requesting relevant information.
- Assisting with HMRC correspondence and enquiries.
- Keeping up to date with UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Working closely with the wider accounts and tax teams.
- Managing your workload and ensuring client deadlines are met.
About You
We're looking for an ATT Qualified Tax Assistant with previous experience in a tax environment.
You’ll ideally have
- ATT qualification or recently achieved ATT status.
- Previous tax experience, working within an accountancy practice.
- Knowledge of UK personal and business taxation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, proactive and client-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills and experience with tax/accounting software.
