This is a pivotal executive leadership appointment, offering the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of a highly respected business while leading a large, geographically dispersed operational function that supports thousands of customers across the UK.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll become a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for shaping operational strategy, developing outstanding leaders and delivering an exceptional customer experience at scale.

This is far more than overseeing day-to-day operations.

The Opportunity

As Operations Director, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across a large, multi-site function, ensuring operational excellence, commercial performance and customer satisfaction remain at the heart of every decision.

You'll be responsible for

  • Leading and inspiring a workforce of approximately 300 colleagues through a team of senior operational leaders.
  • Developing and delivering the long-term operational strategy, aligned with the organisation's wider business objectives.
  • Creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement and continuous improvement across the operation.
  • Driving exceptional customer outcomes by continually improving service quality, operational consistency and resident satisfaction.
  • Leading transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, embrace innovation and enhance operational performance.
  • Ensuring robust governance, compliance, health & safety and risk management across all operational activities.
  • Managing significant operational budgets, delivering strong commercial performance while maintaining outstanding service standards.
  • Supporting business growth through the mobilisation of new developments, operational integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, external partners and industry bodies.
  • Contributing as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping shape the future direction of the business.
