An ambitious, high-growth accommodation business. A rapidly expanding London portfolio. An opportunity to shape the next phase of operational growth.
Sectora Group has been exclusively appointed to recruit a Director of Operations – London for an established, rapidly expanding business operating within the specialist accommodation and property services sector.
With a significant and growing London portfolio, an evolving leadership structure and ambitious plans for continued expansion, our client is investing in its operational capability to support the next stage of its development.
This is a pivotal appointment for an experienced operational leader who can combine commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to build scalable, high-performing operations.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will take responsibility for the operational performance, efficiency and day-to-day delivery of a growing London accommodation portfolio.
Leading through an established operational management team and overseeing a network of external housekeeping, maintenance and property service providers, you will ensure the business continues to deliver consistently high standards while developing the structure, systems and processes needed to support its growth.
We're looking for someone who brings the operational discipline and experience of a larger organisation, combined with the adaptability, energy and hands-on approach required within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Your ability to build relationships and influence people at every level will be central to your success.
On any given day, you could be engaging with frontline housekeeping teams, resolving complex supplier challenges, meeting with the owner of a multimillion-pound London property or discussing operational performance and strategic priorities with the executive leadership team.
This requires a leader with confidence, credibility, emotional intelligence and the commercial judgement to navigate a broad range of stakeholders and competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational performance and day-to-day delivery of a growing, multi-site London accommodation portfolio.
- Develop and empower the operational management team, creating clear accountability, strong leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Build scalable processes, systems and performance measures to support continued business growth.
- Drive operational efficiency, cost control and commercial performance through effective planning, analysis and data-led decision-making.
- Oversee external housekeeping, maintenance and property service partners, ensuring quality, capacity, accountability and value for money.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, landlords, suppliers and a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead operational change initiatives, process improvements and the successful mobilisation of new accommodation units.
- Work closely with the COO and wider leadership team to translate commercial growth plans into effective operational delivery.
- Maintain high standards of property presentation, compliance, service delivery and operational risk management.
About You
You'll be an established senior operational leader, potentially already operating at Director level or working as a Head of Operations or Regional Operations Manager within a larger, complex organisation.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience leading multi-site operations within accommodation, property services, hospitality, facilities management or a similarly complex service-led environment.
- A proven track record of leading through managers, developing teams and overseeing outsourced service providers.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with everyone from frontline operational teams to senior executives and high-value property owners.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost management, budgeting, supplier performance and operational improvement.
- A data-driven approach to planning, problem-solving and decision-making.
- Experience supporting business growth, introducing operational structure and leading change.
- Strong project management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, hands‑on leadership.
- The confidence, professionalism and sound judgement to represent the business at a senior level.
Experience within serviced accommodation or specialist housing would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in candidates from adjacent sectors who can demonstrate the right scale and complexity of operational leadership.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

With an expanding London operation, ambitious growth plans and significant scope to influence operational strategy, you'll have the opportunity to shape the business's future, strengthen management capability and build the infrastructure required for continued success.
For an experienced operational leader who thrives on variety, enjoys developing people and wants to make a tangible impact within a growing business, this represents a compelling next step.
