Position Summary

Secretly Distribution is seeking a Senior Digital Operations Manager to join our global Digital Operations team. This role, based in London or New York, will lead operational delivery of digital releases to DSPs, oversee rights management, and act as the senior point of contact for labels and internal stakeholders. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational responsibilities, ensuring high-quality release execution, optimal client satisfaction, and efficient internal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Digital Operations, lead and mentor the UK and US Digital Operations teams and coordinate workflows.
  • Serve as the senior operational contact for SD’s labels, handling issues and maintaining high satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with DSP partners, manage delivery to new services, and ensure compliance with specifications and style guides, including maintaining SD’s Platinum Spotify Preferred Partner status.
  • Oversee back catalogue onboarding, anti-piracy activities, infringement claims, and DMCA notices.
  • Optimize internal processes, document best practices, and support process improvements, operational innovations, and system implementations, including our repertoire management tool, RIOT.
  • Track KPIs, report on performance, and provide actionable insights to improve Digital Operations workflows.
  • Stay current on industry trends, DSP developments, and rights management (including YouTube, Facebook Rights Manager, DDEX/XML), leveraging insights to enhance label services.
  • Represent Secretly Distribution at management meetings, industry events, and conferences when required.

The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates

  • Minimum of 3 years in digital operations within a music distributor or label, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams, managing client-facing initiatives, and overseeing team capacity to achieve operational goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee projects from conception to completion, such as catalogue onboarding, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and consistently high label satisfaction.
  • Deep knowledge of digital music trends, DSP platforms, and evolving industry developments, including the Spotify Preferred Partnership programme.
  • Skilled at identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex digital delivery issues with efficiency and precision.
  • Established relationships across the music industry, including DSP contacts, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Expert understanding of digital service platforms and rights management, including YouTube content management and monetization.
  • Comfortable supporting system implementations, process change initiatives and introducing operational innovations.
