Secret Mode Limited are looking for a Social and Community Lead, responsible for shaping and executing Secret Mode’s social and community strategy. Working across a broad range of our titles, they will steer our publisher’s community forward and help build and shape individual game communities as well, switching between strategies and tones of voice in the process. They ensure Secret Mode fosters positive relationships between developers, engaging with the community and advocating for our games.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and support the Secret Mode social and community team in all aspects of their responsibilities on their titles.
- Oversight of all social and community content across all projects via your direct reports.
- Ensure we have a robust and efficient social media support for our Marketing campaigns.
- Responsibility of the growth and content strategy for the Secret Mode brand channels, including tone of voice, content planning and creation, and metric tracking.
- Support the team in the development and growth of Secret Mode title social media presence and audiences.
- Act as the driving force for social and community strategy and development, championing our different communities and understanding their uniqueness.
- Work closely with the wider Secret Mode Marketing team to build the strategy for inventive social and community outreach.
- Ensure the team identifies, monitors, and reports social and community sentiment, presented in an actionable way for other teams.
- Ensure the team responds to community feedback in a timely manner and escalates key issues.
- Compile (or oversee the compilation of) regular reports for the Secret Mode Marketing team.
- Creation of processes and best practices to help guide and assist direct reports, providing mentorship and training where needed.
- Work with wider Communications team on building and managing relationships with development partners, including delivering best practices for effective comms.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of proven experience in roles covering both social media and community management in the games industry.
- Experience and passion for line managing others, including objective setting and personal development.
- Experience working alongside external partners e.g. agencies, IP holders, first party.
- Strong ability to work autonomously and lead on the creation of strategies and ideas independently.
- Strong understanding of video game marketing, community management, and development practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to action changes via data and trends, and to effectively restrategise when required.
- A proactive self‑starting attitude, able to identify tasks and opportunities for growth and success.
- Comfortable with in‑person event attendance and support, engaging directly with audiences and partners.

This role requires you to be in our Leamington Spa studio for two days a week and may involve occasional travel to events.
