Administrator in Plymouth

Plymouth Full-Time No working from home possible
Secosupport

We are looking for an organised, proactive Administrator to join our Head Office team in Plymouth (PL6).

This is a varied role combining general administration with property and housing compliance. You will provide day-to-day support across our Head Office team while taking responsibility for coordinating compliance activity for our small and developing property portfolio.

We need someone who is a strong all-round administrator, has some knowledge of housing or property compliance and, most importantly, gets things done.

About Seco Support

Seco Support provides supported living for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, including people with complex support needs.

We believe everyone has the right to a safe place to live that they can call home. This role will help us make sure the systems behind our support and properties work effectively.

What you’ll be doing

Your role will include:

  • Maintaining accurate records, trackers and electronic filing systems.
  • Preparing and proofreading correspondence, reports and documents.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and other administrative functions when required.
  • Monitoring property compliance requirements, dates and actions.
  • Arranging required property inspections, servicing and certification.
  • Sourcing appropriately qualified and competent contractors.
  • Obtaining quotations and coordinating repairs, maintenance and other works.
  • Checking and maintaining relevant contractor documentation.
  • Following up contractors and outstanding works through to completion.
  • Maintaining property certificates, reports and compliance evidence.
  • Identifying actions arising from reports or certificates and ensuring these are followed up.
  • Escalating risks, overdue actions or compliance concerns when required.

You won’t need to be a technical expert in every area. You will, however, need enough knowledge to understand what is required, keep on top of deadlines and make sure actions don’t get missed.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has some knowledge or experience of housing, property or facilities compliance.
  • Is highly organised and has excellent attention to detail.
  • Is confident using Word, Excel, Outlook and digital systems.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Is comfortable sourcing and dealing with contractors and suppliers.
  • Understands the importance of statutory checks, certification and accurate compliance records.
  • Is proactive and confident working independently.
  • Doesn’t leave things half-finished – you will be someone who follows actions through to completion
  • Is flexible and happy to support the wider team when needed.

Experience in housing, property management, facilities, supported living, social care or another regulated environment would be an advantage.

  • 28 days’ annual leave
  • Company pension
  • Full induction and ongoing paid training
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Supportive Head Office team

Our property portfolio is currently small but developing, so the role may evolve as our requirements change.

If you’re a capable administrator who likes being organised, enjoys variety and has an interest or background in housing compliance, we’d love to hear from you.
