Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to thousands of people with mental health and other support needs. Our goal is to inspire hope and deliver change for everybody and every community we work with.
The Higher Needs Floating Support Service is a newly commissioned service working with people in temporary accommodation or at risk of homelessness across a variety of settings. The team work closely with the local authority, health, treatment and specialist support providers to improve outcomes and work towards more settled accommodation for those facing multiple disadvantage
As a Housing support register (HSR) referral coordinator within the Higher Needs Floating Support Service, you will;
- Assist the Floating Support Service Team Manager in the provision of high quality, effective and comprehensive support to HNF team and clients.
- Provide day to day leadership and line manage to floating support workers.
- Manage and allocate referrals from the Housing Support Register (HSR) across the wider Higher Needs Floating Support Service (HNFSS)
- Promote effective team working and communication.
You will;
- Be experienced in supporting people facing multiple disadvantages.
- Having knowledge of the Housing support register.
- Provide day to day leadership and line manage floating support workers.
- Have some experience in improving housing outcomes for people who have been homeless.
- Be great at building trust with those you work with
- Have compassion, empathy and passion for supporting others
- Be IT literate and be able to record and report information
- Have the ability to travel across Bristol
