Senior Service Coordinator

The Higher Needs Floating Support Service is a commissioned service working with people in temporary accommodation or at risk of homelessness across a variety of settings.

The team works closely with the local authority, health, treatment and specialist support providers to improve outcomes and work towards more settled accommodation for those facing multiple disadvantage.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day to day leadership.
  • Promoting effective team working and communication and supporting the team to engage and support the client group in leading their journeys through maximising their choice and control over the support they receive.
  • Supporting line management responsibilities.
  • Managing service waiting lists, allocations and HSR.
  • Handling elements of the contract, including service coordination, monitoring and reporting and liaising with commissioners and partner organisations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in line management or supervisory role.
  • Experience in supporting people facing multiple disadvantages.
  • Experience in improving housing outcomes for people who have been homeless.
  • Ability to build trust with those you work with.
  • Compassion, empathy and passion for supporting others.
  • IT literate and able to record and report information.
  • Confidence in lone working in the community.
  • Ability to travel across Bristol.
