About our role… We are seeking an experienced Reward & Recognition Specialist to lead the development and implementation of an innovative total reward strategy at our world-leading research institute. Collaborating closely with the Head of Reward & Benefits, you will play a pivotal role in aligning our reward framework with the institute's strategic objectives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and attracting, motivating, and retaining top scientific and operational talent. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping a forward-thinking reward strategy that positions the institute as an employer of choice.

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of comprehensive compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with best practices. Your expertise in reward strategy and employee recognition approaches will be essential as you conduct thorough analyses of current practices, benchmark against industry standards, and provide expert advice on market trends and legislative compliance. Building strong relationships, you will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that our compensation policies support talent acquisition and retention strategies. Additionally, you will develop and implement data analytics to assess the effectiveness of reward programs, establish KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will bring…

  • Previous experience setting up a Reward function or leading Reward Strategy implementation in a similar-sized, fast-paced organization
  • Experience implementing best practice reward programs, including developing and delivering effective communications
  • Extensive experience selecting and implementing best-in-class benefits
  • A proven track record working as part of a wider HR team to deliver and operationalize reward and benefits activities
  • Experience leading complex projects with the ability to influence at all levels and coach/develop team members
  • Strong communication skills, including building effective relationships and developing concise written materials
