We are seeking a skilled, qualified (level 3 and above) and dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repair tasks efficiently.
  • Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and manoeuvring of vehicle components safely and effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns professionally.
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience or training in automotive repair is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, assembly techniques.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair methods.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive essential.
