The role involves carrying out the installation, modification, and commissioning of small works on electronic security systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in line with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and upgrade intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and related security systems.
- Complete small additions, alterations, and remedial works on existing customer sites.
- Diagnose faults and perform minor repairs where required.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Complete all work in accordance with company procedures, NSI standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Update job reports, commissioning documents, and customer records using mobile applications.
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and van stock.
- Deliver excellent customer service and promote additional upgrade opportunities where appropriate.
Skills & Experience
- Experience installing and servicing electronic security systems.
- Knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and IP networking.
- Knowledge in Fire.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Competent in using mobile devices and digital reporting systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant security industry qualifications (e.g. NSI, ECS, CSCS, or manufacturer training).
- Experience with IP CCTV, access control, and integrated security systems.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Professional attitude.
