Seco Tools is seeking a Solva Business Development Lead to drive front-end growth for our Seco Solva business by identifying, developing, and securing high-value opportunities with leading industrial customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who thrives on opening doors, building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, and shaping complex business opportunities into long-term strategic partnerships.

As a Business Development Lead, you'll play a critical role in expanding Seco's presence within our chosen strategic industrial segments including Aerospace, Medical, Energy, and Defence. You will act as the primary entry point into customer organisations, engaging executive stakeholders to understand their business challenges and uncover opportunities where Solva's integrated end-to-end solutions can create measurable value.

Working closely with Regional Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Innovation, and Project Delivery teams, you'll lead opportunities from initial engagement through solution development, proposal, and contract award, before ensuring a seamless handover for implementation. This role offers significant exposure to senior industry leaders and requires a blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and consultative selling expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing growth strategies to build a robust pipeline of qualified Solva opportunities.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with C-suite and senior manufacturing leaders, positioning Seco as a strategic long-term partner.
  • Leading value-based business discussions focused on productivity improvement, operational excellence, sustainability, quality, and manufacturing transformation.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and shaping customer needs into commercially viable Solva solutions.
  • Qualifying opportunities and guiding them through pursuit, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Collaborating with Regional Sales teams to expand existing relationships and gain access to executive stakeholders.
  • Working cross-functionally with Project Engineering, Offer & Innovation, Operations, and appointed Project teams to develop compelling customer solutions.
  • Contributing to thought leadership activities and helping strengthen Seco's market position within strategic manufacturing sectors.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A proven business developer with a strong track record of securing new business opportunities and building pipelines from scratch.
  • Experienced in engaging with senior decision-makers and influencing stakeholders at executive level.
  • Comfortable working in complex, solution-based sales environments.
  • Resilient, self-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating across global teams.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, multi-lingual preferred. A university degree or equivalent higher education qualification is preferred, although significant relevant industry experience will also be considered.

At Seco Tools, our specialism is developing advanced metal cutting solutions and working in close partnership with our customers and industrial partners to help them perform at their best. Our culture is built around our Core Values:

  • Winning Together – We collaborate, share knowledge, and succeed as one team.
  • Curiosity – We explore, innovate, and challenge the status quo.
  • Responsibility – We act safely, ethically, and sustainably.
  • Customer Focus – We listen, adapt, and deliver solutions that matter.
