We are recruiting a Service Manager for Jordan who lives in his own home in Gateshead on a Hybrid working basis.
We are seeking a hands-on enthusiastic Service Manager who can motivate and develop a positive workplace culture within a team. Our service is not one-size fits all – it’s designed around each individual, entirely focused on the person, bespoke to their wants and needs.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational service and a team of support workers where you will provide guidance and supervision in a well-led manner.

About Jordan
Hi, my name is Jordan, I have a Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Tic Disorder. I struggle communicating which can lead to significant challenging behaviour, my team support me to overcome this with distraction techniques and engagement.
I am strong and determined and won’t let my challenges get the better of me. I am very kind, curious and active and have a great sense of humour. I enjoy being outdoors playing tag or kicking my ball around with my team, I like playing with my toys and relaxing in my toy room, drawing and writing in my books. I am very sociable and love to spend time with those around me, this can be walking, singing and/or dancing; one of my favourite songs is Celebration. I enjoy learning new skills with the help of my team. I have a car which I go out most days in for drives to places I like to visit. I enjoy spending time with my family who visit regular, and I go out for drives with them.

About the role
We are looking for a Service Manager to:
- Visit Jordan and his team at his home on a regular basis
- Manage Jordan’s team’s training, annual leave and rotas
- Manage the finances within Jordan’s service. This includes Seco Support finances as well as Jordan’s
- Be responsible for ensuring that Employment Hero is completed for all team members and up to date
- Complete formal supervisions, probations and appraisals in line with Seco timescales
- Be responsible for updating risk assessments and support plans
- Ensure Jordan’s service is compliant with CQC standards
- Lead reviews and ensure updates are made to Jordan’s support and PBS plan
- Meet regularly with Jordan’s parents and professional team
- Interview and support new team members
- Be part of a local on call service
- Provide direct support to Jordan should this be required

Full training will be provided through Seco Supports induction programme and online learning. Full referencing and a full enhanced check of the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) will be required for this position.
