About us: We support adults and young people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health difficulties to live independently in the community. As a compassionate, person-centred company, we focus on creating individualised support packages that empower people to live fulfilling lives. We believe everyone deserves to have deep, caring and meaningful relationships, the right to grow and develop and have access to a safe and welcoming home. We believe services should be tailored to each individual and that creativity and thinking outside the box are key to delivering bespoke support.

About Hailey: Hailey is involved in the recruitment process for her team, writing a little about herself: Hi, I’m Hailey, I’m 26, and I have a learning disability and frontal lobe impairment, which can make processing information challenging and sometimes cause anxiety or frustration. I can occasionally display behaviours that challenge and need a resilient support team for reassurance. While I have 2:1 support, I am very independent. I’m described as funny, kind, thoughtful, and inquisitive. I’m a girly girl and love pampering activities like getting my hair, nails, and makeup done, and I’m planning to enrol in a hair and beauty course. I’m active, enjoy shopping, spending time at the beach or park, and relaxing with reality TV and music. I’m close to my family, often visiting my mum, and care for my pet rabbit Daisy. In the future, I’d love to get more involved in the community and build friendships with people my age.

About you: You will:

  • Put Hailey first and appreciate her for the amazing person she is
  • Stand by her through tough times and be resilient
  • Assess situations with patience and empathy
  • Bring a lively, friendly, and caring personality
  • Have a good sense of humour and be able to share jokes and pranks
  • Be trustworthy, loyal, and upfront, with strong boundaries
  • Follow routines and be flexible and creative when needed
  • Communicate well and be reliable and supportive

About the role: We are looking for a Service Manager to:

  • Visit Hailey and her team at her home on a regular basis
  • Manage Hailey’s team’s training, annual leave and rotas
  • Manage the finances within Hailey’s service. This includes Seco Support finances as well as Hailey’s
  • Be responsible for ensuring that BrightHR is completed for all team members and up to date
  • Complete formal supervisions, probations and appraisals in line with Seco timescales
  • Be responsible for updating risk assessments and support plans
  • Ensure Hailey’s service is compliant with CQC standards
  • Lead reviews and ensure updates are made to Hailey’s support and PBS plan
  • Meet regularly with Hailey’s parents and professional team
  • Interview and support new team members
  • Be part of a local on call service
  • Provide direct support to Hailey should this be required

An NVQ 3 or equivalent Health & Social Care Diploma is essential. Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing a service supporting vulnerable adults with autism and learning disabilities. Full training will be provided through Seco Supports induction programme and online learning. Full referencing and a full enhanced check of the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) will be required for this position.
