We are recruiting a Support Worker for Lily, who lives in her own home in Ledbury, to provide compassionate, person-centred support to enable her to live her best life.

About Lily

Lily is a 22-year-old woman living in Ledbury with a diagnosis of Autism, Learning Disability, Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome, Microcephaly, De Novo Sox and a history of seizures. She requires medication administration, support to access the community, and encouragement towards greater independence. She enjoys animals, drawing, puzzles, and activities that foster emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Bring a lively, friendly, and caring personality.
  • Use a good sense of humour and share jokes and pranks where appropriate.
  • Be trustworthy, loyal, and upfront with clear boundaries.
  • Follow routines and remain flexible and creative when needed.
  • Communicate well, be reliable and supportive.
  • Learn about Lily through training provided by Seco Support and other professionals, adopting a person‑centred approach.
  • Administer medications according to her support plan and risk assessments.
  • Support Lily to access the local community and pursue greater independence.
  • Provide calm and confident support during seizures or challenging behaviours.
  • Drive Lily to chosen activities and support her at her own pace.
  • Engage Lily in activities such as visiting farms, zoos, drawing, and solving puzzles to build relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence is preferred.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Willingness to undergo full DBS check, referencing and enhanced background checks.
  • Receive full induction training and ongoing paid learning through Seco Supports induction programme.
  • Existing right to work in the UK – we do not sponsor work visas.
