- Main Tasks
- Setting up test equipment and preparing products for testing and repair.
- Collecting and recording incoming product and repair data on electronic job cards.
- Carrying out routine servicing of safety‑critical rail equipment using hand tools and diagnostic software.
- Supporting the overhaul and repair of electro‑mechanical equipment to a high quality standard.
- Carrying out routine testing using diagnostic and test software.
- Completing repair, test and service documentation accurately and to a high standard.
- Supporting general warehouse activities.
- Carrying out basic administrative tasks related to the service and repair process.
- Following established processes, quality standards and Health & Safety procedures.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by suggesting improvements to processes and working methods.
Requirements
- An interest in engineering, electronics or technical work.
- Practical and hands‑on approach.
- Good computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
