About us
Seccl is the Octopus-owned embedded investment platform that’s on a mission to help more people to invest – and invest well. We’re B-Corp certified with an amazing product-market fit, impressive early traction and the potential to transform an outdated industry, for the better. We've been growing fast and will scale even faster over the next few years.
The role
We’re looking for a Lead product marketing manager to join our Marketing team. This is a newly created role designed to bring greater clarity, consistency and commercial impact to how Seccl’s platform is understood, positioned and adopted.
You’ll turn deep product understanding into clear commercial narratives, practical enablement and stronger customer adoption. Sitting within the Marketing team and broader commercial function, you’ll work closely with Product, Sales and Growth to understand where customers realise value, where friction exists, and how Seccl’s platform can support both new pipeline and existing customer growth.
On a typical day you will be…
- Building a deep understanding of Seccl’s platform, operating model, customer journeys, implementation realities, commercial model and growth levers.
- Supporting product launches, feature adoption and customer-facing communications that help firms understand and use more of the Seccl platform.
- Turning product, customer and market insight into clear messaging, propositions and enablement materials.
- Partnering with Product, Sales, Growth and Marketing to build trust, clarify ways of working and create useful feedback loops.
- Using buyer, user, competitor, CRM and win/loss insight to sharpen how Seccl is positioned and sold.
- Creating practical sales enablement, objection handling, campaign messaging and website messaging that helps commercial teams explain value clearly.
- Capturing insight from customers, prospects and internal teams, and turning it into recommendations for positioning, packaging, prioritisation and roadmap conversations.
- Supporting and developing others through clear direction, useful feedback and high standards.
This role’s for you if...
- You have strong product marketing, proposition or go-to-market experience in a B2B technology, fintech, SaaS or similarly complex environment.
- You’re curious about technical detail and can turn a complex platform into clear, useful messaging.
- You’re commercially minded, with a strong understanding of how messaging and enablement support pipeline, conversion and customer growth.
- You’re hands-on and practical, comfortable creating useful work yourself rather than only setting the strategy.
- You collaborate well across product, sales, growth, marketing and customer-facing teams.
- You’re confident using customer, market and CRM insight to identify trends and turn them into practical recommendations.
- You bring structure, rigour and momentum without over-engineering or slowing teams down.
- You’re curious about how AI is changing product marketing, including how teams enable sales, share internal knowledge, understand competitors and show up in buyer research journeys.
This role isn’t for you if...
- You rely on a lot of top-down direction.
- You’re not comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- You struggle to follow through on ideas.
- You don’t like change.
What’s in it for you…
- A salary between £80,000 and £90,000 – dependant on experience + reviewed annually.
- 27 days holiday + bank holidays (some can be flexible) + day off on your birthday + three days (full time) per year for Dependant leave.
- Two volunteering days per year.
- Option to work abroad for up to six weeks a year.
- Secclbrate - our recognition programme that offers a mix of flexible rewards including extra pay, additional holiday and increased learning budget.
- Length of service award – one month paid sabbatical at eight years.
- 6% employer pension contribution, and life assurance.
- Private medical insurance with AXA Health.
- Enhanced Parental leave.
- MacBook and up to £500 home office set up budget.
- £750 per person learning budget.
- Health and wellbeing initiatives including free therapy via Wellness Cloud, mental health support via Headspace.
- Strong financial wellbeing focus including access to Octopus Money, Octopus Share Incentive Plan and will writing offering via Octopus Legacy.
- Perkbox – Flexi-points giving you a range of discounts and perks including free weekly coffee, gym and retail discounts.
- Access to initiatives like Cycle to Work and Octopus Electric Vehicle Leasing.

Interview process
Interviewing is a two-way thing, and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you. Our interviews are conversational, so come with questions and be curious.
In general, you can expect the interview process to look a bit like this:
- First stage – 45 mins competencies-based interview with the hiring manager and Product, marketing and insight lead.
- Second stage – one-hour technical interview or assessment with several key stakeholders from across the business.
- Final stage – 45 mins bar-raiser culture-based interview.
Our aim is to build a diverse and inclusive company of awesome people, with unique skills, passions and experiences. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, or veteran, neurodiversity or disability status.
