The role
As Head of CASS, you’ll have end-to-end responsibility for Seccl’s CASS framework, providing leadership, oversight and strategic direction across the firm’s obligations under FCA CASS regulations. This is a senior leadership role with genuine influence – working closely with the executive team, the Board, regulators and auditors, while building a high-performing CASS function that scales with the business. The CASS function sits at the core of Seccl’s regulatory operations, partnering closely with teams across reconciliations, transfers, payments, trading and wider platform activity. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our CASS framework remains robust, compliant and scalable as the business continues to grow. The Head of CASS role will hold the CASS operational oversight certification function.
On a typical day you will be…
- Owning and leading Seccl’s CASS function, ensuring strong governance, oversight and regulatory compliance.
- Interpreting and embedding CASS requirements across the organisation in a scalable, pragmatic way.
- Designing and operating an effective CASS governance framework, including chairing CASS Committee.
- Proactively managing CASS risk, leading the resolution of incidents and breaches where they arise.
- Acting as the senior point of contact for regulators, auditors and key external stakeholders on all CASS matters.
- Building, leading and developing a high-performing CASS team, that ensures that CASS knowledge and skills are embedded throughout the business.
- Advising senior leadership and the Board on CASS risk, regulatory change and strategic implications.

- You have significant experience leading CASS within an FCA-regulated environment (fintech, platforms, custody or wealth preferred).
- You hold the relevant qualifications outlined in the FCA’s training and competence sourcebook within appendix 4.1.
- You have deep technical expertise in CASS, paired with the judgement to apply it pragmatically at scale.
- You have proven experience operating at senior level, engaging confidently with regulators, auditors and Boards.
- You are a leader who can build teams, influence outcomes and raise standards across a fast-growing organisation.
- You enjoy a busy and ever-changing environment, where the demand for CASS expertise is central to many areas.
- You lead and communicate effectively, providing clear updates to stakeholders.
