Job Summary and Objective

We are seeking a Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a new portfolio of Secaro programmes working in supply chain sustainability. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role responsible for orchestrating cross-functional teams, driving programme execution and ensuring successful adoption of Secaro’s solutions.

The Programme Manager is responsible for developing, operating, and continuously improving a programme designed to help businesses across global supply chains adopt clean, low carbon solutions. The programme will enable businesses - often operating in resource constrained or highly variable regulatory environments - to understand the different operational projects that can drive down carbon, access trusted partners, and overcome technical, financial, and behavioural barriers.

Resources may include technical guidance, financial support, digital learning modules, supplier decision support tools, case study libraries, live events, recorded training, and a network of vetted delivery partners offering preferential support for participating businesses.

The Programme Manager will work closely with Key Account Management, Sales, Marketing, Partnerships and Product teams to deliver seamless, high-quality outcomes for clients while acting as a trusted advisor and evangelist for Secaro’s programme offerings.

As our clients continue to expand their supply chain decarbonisation ambitions, our programmes will play an increasingly central role in enabling real world emissions reductions. Over time, it is envisaged that this position will expand to include management of a portfolio of sustainability programmes that work in clean heat, active pharmaceutical ingredients, compliance with emerging regulations and more.

Success in this role requires a blend of technical understanding, user centred design, global stakeholder engagement, and strong programme management.

Requirements | Principal Responsibilities:

  • Programme Design & Delivery: Lead the design and continual refinement of programmes for businesses within global supply chains, ensuring content, tools, and resources address the diverse needs of businesses operating across multiple countries and sectors.
  • Shape end-to-end user journeys that make complex decarbonisation topics accessible to SMEs and large suppliers alike.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to articulate programme requirements and ensure that they are delivered by the platform.
  • Supplier & Client Engagement: Work with the Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, Key Accounts and their suppliers to understand regional constraints such as technology availability, workforce skills, cost barriers, and differing policy landscapes.
  • Translate these insights into targeted content and phased upgrade pathways that help suppliers progress from awareness to implementation.
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Impact: Develop KPIs to track supplier engagement, technology uptake, readiness scores, and estimated emissions impacts (especially across scope 1 and scope 3).
  • Produce regular insights for internal teams and client organisations to demonstrate progress.
  • Representation & Advocacy: Represent the Programme in industry forums, working groups, and sector events related to supply chain decarbonisation.
  • Ensure consistent communication and visibility of the Programme across our global networks.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong understanding of sustainability and decarbonisation, particularly relating to manufacturing operations (e.g., heat pumps, efficient thermal processes, electrification) and supply chain dynamics.
  • Ability to translate technical content into accessible learning experiences for global business audiences.
  • Robust programme management abilities across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with stakeholders across cultures, languages, and business maturity levels.
  • Creative content design thinking with the ability to coordinate external design/technical specialists.
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus.

Experience:

  • Essential: 7+ years’ experience in programme management, preferably in sustainability, energy, or climate-tech.
  • Prior experience in consulting (strategy, management, or sustainability consulting preferred).
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programmes.
  • Experience developing learning programmes, guidance materials, or capability building resources - ideally in climate, energy, sustainability, or technology adoption.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Partnerships).

  • Desirable: Experience of working with or within global supply chains, manufacturing networks, or multinational business ecosystems.
  • Experience delivering programmes across multiple regions.
  • Experience with clean heat technologies (e.g., heat pumps, district heating, energy systems).
  • Experience leveraging technology to engage audiences on sustainability issues.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and policy frameworks that govern sustainability.

Skills:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to operate across technical and commercial domains.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with technical organisations, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled at designing content that resonates with businesses of different sizes, cultures, and technical capabilities.

You are:

  • Passionate about accelerating adoption of sustainable projects across global supply chains.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and commitment to high quality delivery.
  • A relationship builder who enjoys collaborating with partners, clients, and suppliers.
  • A clear communicator who can demystify technical concepts.
  • A strategic thinker and practical problem solver.
  • Organised, methodical, and focused on high impact priorities.
  • Curious about new technologies, supply chain realities, and global market contexts.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Motivated by making a real contribution to climate action.
