Role: Permanent and on-site. Hours: Full time, 8.30am – 5pm.
We are looking for someone with demonstrated Key Account Management experience working on own label / bespoke product with Key, Volume or FMCG retailers. Creating market leading products and providing exceptional service is so key for this business, so you will be highly commercial and a natural relationship builder at all levels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great company where there is always lots of opportunity for progression.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for managing key and strategic accounts, building strong, positive working relationships.
- Getting to know your accounts in depth in order to fully understand their market and business needs.
- Attending meetings with key retailers, representing the brand and ensuring expectations are not only met but exceeded.
- Ensuring any specific labelling / packaging requirements are communicated in a timely manner to the wider business to aid swift and accurate delivery.
- Working closely with the Buying team, Design, NPD Manager, Logistics, QC, Warehousing and Finance teams to ensure orders are delivered accurately and swiftly to customer.
- Ensuring all required testing, quality check and certifications are obtained.
- Critical path management to ensure key dates are met for your accounts.
- Managing and mentoring the Sales Support Team, including onboarding, training, workload management and development.
- Potential for domestic and international travel.
Skills & experience required:
- Strong experience in a similar Account Management position working with leading UK volume retailers is essential.
- A background working with FMCGs and experience in working directly with buyers on private label product ranges preferred.
- Experience working with consumer products.
- An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal English, and a natural ability to form good working relationships at all levels of seniority, both with internal teams and external partners.
- Highly commercial, with the ability to manage complex accounts with high volumes and SKU counts.
- A customer-centric approach and desire to provide outstanding customer experience is a must.
- Strong understanding of forecasting and report analysis, with fantastic attention to detail.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Proactive & driven, wanting to take ownership and drive projects forward.
