Seaview House Private Nursing Home is a small independent nursing home overlooking Ballyholme Bay in Bangor, Co.

Down.

We are looking for a Care and Support Assistant to join our team.

The right candidate must have previous experience working in a nursing home or similar environment.

Term time contract available, flexible hours for work/life balance, immediate start.

To assist in the giving of direct care under the supervision of trained staff.

To maintain the confidentiality of patients in our care.

Maintain standards of cleanliness by keeping the patient environment clean (adhering to infection control and health & safety policies).

Assist with patients hygiene needs e. g. washing/showering/bed-bathing and bathing.

Assist with dressing; Mouth and eye care.

Help with toileting/empty urine catheters and commodes.

Give out meals and drinks to help patients eat and drink.

Assist patients to mobilize (walk/stand/transfer using aids if required).

Escort patients as and when required around the home as appropriate.

Assist patients to be comfortable and safe.

To be able to recognize changes in patients condition and to report these to the trained nurse.

To be mindful of and respect patients individuality- holistic approach.
