Hours: part time 22-24 hrs per week (flexible days and nights)
Rate of pay: £12.71 - £13.20 per hour
Main responsibilities:
- To assist in the giving of direct care under the supervision of trained staff.
- To maintain the confidentiality of patients in our care.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness by keeping the patient environment clean (adhering to infection control and health & safety policies).
- Assist with patients' hygiene needs e.g. washing/showering/bed-bathing and bathing.
- Assist with dressing; mouth and eye care.
- Help with toileting/empty urine catheters and commodes.
- Give out meals and drinks to help patients eat and drink.
- Assist patients to mobilize (walk/stand/transfer using aids if required).
- Escort patients as and when required around the home as appropriate.
- Assist patients to be comfortable and safe.
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications Required:
- Previous experience working in a care home environment.
- Good communication, flexibility, integrity and good team working skills.
