About the Company
Technology has revolutionised the world we live in, yet somehow the rail industry has stayed much the same as it was 30 years ago. Seatfrog is here to change that. We are on a mission to build a better future for billions of passengers and the rail companies that carry them. We have already reinvented how upgrading your seat is done — now affordable and lightning fast to over 870 destinations — and enabled customers to effortlessly swap between train journeys. We are on our way to becoming the ultimate travel companion and the only app you will ever need when travelling by rail in the UK and beyond. We are building a stellar team to achieve our audacious goals. We strive to create an environment where you can do your best work, and you will be challenged and supported in equal measure. Ours is a culture with spirit and substance and our people are empowered to make bold decisions others wouldn’t and haven’t.
The Role
Salary: £75-85k
As Senior Product Manager at Seatfrog you will transform the way people experience UK rail travel and drive growth. This role suits someone with strong B2C product experience, an obsession with solving pain points for consumers, and an appetite for pushing boundaries. This role requires a proven track record in consumer-facing, app-based businesses, with deep experience in shaping mobile-first user journeys at reputable brands that have traversed significant growth. You will impact conversion throughout the funnel and launch products that deliver a rail experience that passengers can’t live without. This is a role where you will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, owning large parts of the roadmap and delivering experiences that delight passengers while driving measurable growth.
What You Will Do
- Shape product strategy: Partner with the Head of Product to deliver a roadmap that keeps Seatfrog leading the way in consumer rail travel.
- Lead app-first growth: Own the design and optimisation of mobile experiences that drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetisation.
- Obsess over the customer: Use data and experimentation to understand our customers intimately, and communicate with them in a way that adds value and drives loyalty.
- Deliver impact at scale: Prioritise features and experiments that move key consumer metrics, from conversion through to long-term retention.
- Work cross-functionally: Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Marketing leaders to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences across the app.
- Influence: Facilitate best practices in app-based product development and align stakeholders across Seatfrog.
- Innovate boldly: Use customer insights and market data to identify opportunities for growth, push the boundaries of what’s possible in rail travel, and turn ideas into scalable app-based products.
- Champion the funnel: Know your funnel metrics inside out, using data around engagement, transactions, and retention to inform product strategy and prioritisation.
- Manage: Our Customer Support function will report to you. You will position CS as a product and work with the team to scale the function, improve processes, and mine insights.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven B2C experience — you have built and scaled products in consumer-first businesses, ideally mobile-first or app-led.
- App growth expertise — you understand funnels, retention mechanics, engagement loops, and what it takes to build sticky mobile experiences.
- Data-driven mindset — you combine qualitative and quantitative data to understand users and how Seatfrog solves their problems.
- Strong commercial acumen — you balance user needs with business goals and know how to prioritise for growth.
- Collaborative leader — skilled at working with technical delivery teams, designers, and marketers in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional communicator — able to distill complex information into clear narratives for stakeholders at every level.
- AI Innovation — you are able to discuss how you have automated or improved parts of your role through AI tooling to deliver greater value.
- Resilience and adaptability — you have delivered great products at speed and under pressure, responding to business and industry changes.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to regulated or operationally complex industries.
