Assist the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day activities in the Bakery Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Packaging product, rotating product and slicing.
- Maintaining proper product assortment and maintaining displays or racks.
- Unloading product from trucks and organizing back room.
- Filling and cleaning racks, displays, shelves and displays as needed.
- Takes customersβ orders and answers phone.
- Sweeping and mopping floor, and backroom.
- Overall sanitation for department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Observe all store rules and company policies. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations. Follow safety guidelines when working, especially when lifting, using cutting tools, large machinery, ladders, stretching and taking breaks when performing repetitive motions. Follow health guidelines to ensure safe product is provided to our customers. Knowledge of Weight & Measure Laws.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust and chemical fumes from common household cleaning agents such as ammonia during routine housekeeping duties. Have sufficient memory retention skills to memorize weekly ad prices and memo items.
