Role: Sooty Box collector – an independent volunteer who places new boxes and collects and banks donations from Sooty Boxes in local shops, cafés and other businesses.
Key responsibilities:
- Place new donation boxes in suitable local businesses.
- Collect and bank donations from boxes.
- Use own transport (car access preferred) – mileage or public transport costs will be reimbursed.
- Maintain accurate records of donations and visits.
Requirements:
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Good organisational skills.
- Trustworthy, enthusiastic and self‑motivated.
- Willing to travel within local area.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Able to send and receive emails.
- Provide two references.
Commitment:
Approximately 1 hour per week – flexible schedule that fits around other commitments.
