The Talent and Development Manager supports the design and delivery of Seasalt’s talent and learning strategies, playing an instrumental role in developing internal capability and enhancing employee experience and career progression across the business. Supported by the Senior Talent Manager, through your leadership you’ll inspire employees to perform at their best and build a high-performing, inclusive culture.
Please note, as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall Head office locations (minimum of two days per week) and the remainder working remotely within the UK.
You’ll help us by:
- Supporting the implementation of Seasalt’s talent management framework and deliverables
- Supporting the design and implementation of talent management tools and processes, including internal and external talent mapping, development pathways and succession planning.
- Collaborating with the wider HR team and leaders to identify and grow internal talent pipelines.
- Designing, delivering, and evaluating tailored learning programmes that address business needs across store, distribution centre, and head office teams.
- Leading the development of a clear and engaging learning offering that strengthens Seasalt’s employee value proposition and enhances our employer brand.
- Collaborating with HR Business Partners to address development needs identified within people plans.
- Ensuring development initiatives and learning interventions align with business strategy and deliver return on investment.
- Driving the continuous improvement of the performance management cycle, including provision of clear and engaging resources and guidance.
- Contributing to engagement initiatives and action planning following surveys or feedback mechanisms.
- Championing a learning culture and growth mindset by encouraging knowledge sharing, peer learning, and digital learning platforms.
- Building strong relationships with managers, leaders, and HR Business Partners to understand development needs and deliver relevant solutions.

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:
- Proven HR generalist/learning and development experience within a commercial environment
- CIPD L5 or equivalent qualification/ working experience
- Strong understanding of talent management including performance management, development principles, succession planning and leadership development
- Highly driven with a passion for employee experience
- Stakeholder management expertise, able to build credibility with leadership and support teams in adapting to evolving business needs
- Highly IT proficient with experience of learning management systems and utilising technology to improve employee experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident presenter and facilitator with experience of delivering training in-person and virtually
- Ability to think commercially and evidence the return on investment for people initiatives
- Good project management and organisational skills
- Strong problem solver and solution orientated
- Innovative with a continuous improvement mindset
