As a Merchandiser within our Product Merchandising team, you\’ll work collaboratively to deliver a balanced, commercial, and profitable range aligned with Seasalt\’s brand vision, strengthening our market position and proposing new opportunities.

This role involves managing product trading requirements to maintain appropriate stock levels across categories, maximizing product margin, and analyzing data to guide range content. Please note, this is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This position is preferably Cornwall-based but also available remotely across the UK with monthly travel to our Cornwall Head Office. A 5% relocation allowance is available for candidates moving from outside Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with the Senior Product Merchandise Manager to ensure seasonal and departmental budgets/forecasts are well planned and analyzed.
2. Define clear option strategies aligned with targets.
3. Maintain a departmental/category Range Plan reflecting buy levels across all channels, aligned with budgets/forecasts.
4. Coordinate with Buying and Design for product reviews and sign-offs across trading channels.
5. Oversee range development to ensure it reflects Seasalt’s strategy, with no gaps or duplication.
6. Plan historical bestsellers and styles, ensuring range freshness and attribute analysis during build.
7. Reflect business strategies in your product area and guide your team accordingly.
8. Review product performance and adapt future ranges based on insights.
9. Support coaching and building a responsive, skilled merchandising team.

Desired Skills and Experience:

1. Previous experience as a Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser, especially in planning product ranges.
2. Fashion retail experience preferred.
3. Experience in range building, planning, and trading.
4. Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness, with a passion for product.
5. Leadership experience in motivating teams to achieve results.
6. Excellent planning, strategy development, and reporting skills.
7. Effective communication and collaboration capabilities.
8. Problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
