Our Assistant Store Managers are part of the Store Management team, helping to build a successful business, maximising profitability, and driving KPI targets. They support all aspects of running a Seasalt store and encourage the team to deliver the high standards our customers expect. This role is a great stepping stone in your retail career, with many of our Assistant Store Managers going on to be Store Managers. We now have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager to join the Cambridge team on a 40 hour permanent contract.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in creating a service culture within the store team that puts the customer at the heart of everything they do.
- Enable the store team to recommend additional services to drive sales such as omni‑channel selling, gathering customer data and recommending add‑on purchases.
- Support recruitment, working together to build a diverse and passionate team.
- Drive store sales, profitability and consistent KPI achievement, understanding what is required to drive performance.
- Coach and develop the store team through regular 1:1s, supporting with development plans when appropriate.
- Communicate store performance to the team and key stakeholders, providing regular feedback, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Implement visual merchandising, window standards and guidelines and utilise product, category and bestseller information to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Manage store operations such as stock, loss prevention, incident reporting, health and safety, GDPR, cash handling and key holder responsibilities.
- Be a key holder for the store and have responsibility for running the store when required.
