Role Overview
As a Business Analyst Apprentice, you will learn how to explore how different teams operate, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the delivery of changes across processes, services and systems. You will develop the skills to ask the right questions, gather and interpret information, and clearly communicate ideas that help shape business decisions.
Working closely with Technology Operations and colleagues across the organisation, you will support projects that improve how we deliver for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Learn how different teams operate and what they need to succeed.
- Ask questions, gather information to understand problems and opportunities for improvement.
- Support documentation of current processes and potential improvements.
- Produce clear notes and simple documentation to explain requirements and ideas.
- Take notes and capture actions in meetings and workshops.
- Work with colleagues to support projects and business change initiatives across the organisation.
- Help test systems and changes before they go live to ensure they work and operate smoothly.
- Keep documentation organised, accurate, and up to date.
Qualifications
- GCSE English & maths 4‑9 / A*‑C or equivalent.
- Three A‑levels or equivalent.
- Problem‑solving and multitasking skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Motivated, driven and proactive.
- Team worker, flexible/adaptable.
- Ability to deliver tasks.
- A‑levels in a relevant subject desirable.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced or deadline‑driven environment desirable.
- Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) desirable.
Apprenticeship Details
As one of our apprentices you will be on a 2‑year fixed‑term contract starting in September 2026. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will work towards a Level 4 Business Analyst standard with support from your line manager and the Training & Early Career Advisor.
Assessment Day
The Assessment Day for this role is taking place on Monday 20th July.
