Seasalt began in 1981 with a small shop in Penzance, selling workwear to local mariners and practical overalls to artists. Today, we’ve grown into a thriving omnichannel retailer with over 80 UK and Ireland stores, 400+ wholesale stockists, and a growing international and online footprint. As a B Corp and winner of both Drapers “Best Place to Work” and CIPD’s “Best Recognition Programme”, we care deeply about our people, our communities and our long-term impact. Our Head Office teams provide the foundations that empower our people to drive sustainable growth across the UK and international markets.

As an Allocator, you’ll collaborate closely with our Channel Merchandisers and Assistant Channel Merchandisers to make sure the right stock is in the right place at the right time - across channels, partners, warehouses, and stores - to meet sales demand and achieve targets. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent role which is based in our Head Office in Cornwall for 40% of the working week with the remaining days based remotely within the UK.

You’ll help us by:

  • Actioning pricing changes for promos and further reductions of clearance stock.
  • Seasonal system administration and maintenance.
  • Answering and actioning any price/promo related queries through Fresh Service system.
  • Establishing and building relationships within the immediate team and across Product, Retail, Online, Warehouse and Partner teams, sharing knowledge and best practice where necessary.
  • Preparing initial allocations for our retail and clearance stores and partners.
  • Maintaining effective replenishment for our stores and partners in line with trade, from both a product and store perspective.
  • Carrying out any operational tasks to ensure systems are accurate and complete in time for wholesale stock dispatch.
  • Releasing sales orders for wholesale customers for pick and dispatch in line with the order book to achieve sales targets; raising and resolving any issues that arise that may impact order fulfilment.
  • Allocating Wholesale SMS samples to agents within required timeframes.
  • Balancing stock between stores, channels and warehouses, ensuring that stock is well-managed and satisfies demand for online sales and wholesale orders.
  • Understanding category performance by store and key styles, proposing opportunities.
  • Being aware of the local market level risks and opportunities, using this knowledge to shape immediate actions and longer-term plans.
  • Supporting the Channel Merchandising team with store queries, preparing and analysing weekly trade figures, forecasting and ad-hoc tasks where required.

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:

  • Highly numerate, able to work with numbers, analyse and report back on data.
  • Good working knowledge and skills within Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Strong commercial aptitude.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Well organised with effective prioritisation.
  • Ability to work toward deadlines.
  • Seeks to manage and develop self.
  • Previous administrative experience and D365 knowledge would be desirable, but is not essential.
