We are a leading manufacturer of steel shutters and doors, based in Thurrock. As a medium-sized business, we take pride in our high standards, efficient production processes, and committed team. About the Role As a Machine Operative, you will support the full manufacturing process from start to finish. You’ll work across various machines at different stages of production, contributing to high-quality output and efficient operations. * Operate a range of lathe and steel machines throughout the production cycle * Load, run, and monitor machinery to ensure consistent performance * Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications * Receive full training on all machinery and workshop procedures * Follow health & safety standards at all times Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Friday: Early finish Free onsite parking Full-time, permanent position Requirements: * We’re looking for someone reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented * Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy production setting is preferred but not essential (full training provided) * Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude * Physically fit and comfortable working with hands and machinery * A valid driving licence and access to transport (due to workshop location and limited public transport access)
