Join a leading manufacturer in Grays specializing in high-quality security shutters. We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator who is comfortable working with sheet metal and operating standard workshop machinery. This is a workshop-based role focused on precision and consistency.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- MIG Welding: Primary focus on MIG welding of steel shutter components (TIG experience is a bonus but not the focus).
- Precision Fabrication: Taking raw sheet metal and following engineering drawings to create finished products.
- Machinery Operation: Daily use of Press Brakes, Guillotines, and Rollers.
- Quality Control: Measuring and marking out materials to ensure 100% accuracy before assembly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Experience: You must have a solid background in a fabrication workshop.
- Technical Literacy: You must be able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings independently.
- Qualifications: Level 2/3 NVQ or an Apprenticeship in Fabrication.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30. Pay: £16.00 - £17.00 per hour (Subject to a successful weld test).
Environment: A well-established, steady team with no weekend work.
