We are recruiting for a mechanically biased Field Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering business supporting industrial pumping systems across the UK. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working independently and being out on customer sites.

The Role & Key Duties

  • Installation and maintenance of industrial ram pumps and pumping equipment
  • Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis
  • Strip-down, rebuild and servicing of pump systems
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Managing tools, lifting equipment and site documentation
  • Completing detailed service and safety reports
  • Working away from home when required (hotels fully paid)

This is a full-time, field-based position covering the Midlands and wider UK as projects require.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Time-served Mechanical Engineer
  • Experience working on pumps, rotating equipment or industrial plant
  • Confident working independently on site
  • Comfortable staying away from home when required
  • Good communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

You may currently be working as: Field Service Engineer, Pump Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer (field-based) or similar.
