Our client is looking to recruit a Global Risk & Compliance Manager to oversee Health & Safety, risk management and compliance across an international portfolio of events. This is a varied role, working closely with venues, suppliers and internal teams to ensure events are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with local regulations. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for ensuring the smooth delivery of Health & Safety and compliance across multiple events in the UK and overseas.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing Health & Safety and compliance across an international events portfolio
- Ensuring events comply with UK and local legislation
- Reviewing and maintaining risk assessments
- Ensuring appropriate insurance is in place for each event
- Reviewing sponsor and exhibitor activities from a compliance perspective
- Maintaining the company risk register
- Preparing reports for senior management
- Working with venues and suppliers to ensure events are delivered safely
- Promoting good Health & Safety practices across the business
About You
We're looking for someone who has worked within Risk, Compliance or Health & Safety, ideally within events, exhibitions, hospitality, media or a similar environment.
- Previous experience in a Risk, Compliance or Health & Safety role
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Experience carrying out or reviewing risk assessments
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (essential)
- Willingness to travel internationally when required
