Lead AV / Smart Home Service Engineer\\n\\nSouth Territory (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire)\\n\\nWe are a leading home technology and automation specialist, delivering high-end smart home, audio-visual, and automation solutions for residential clients.\\n\\nWe’re looking for a highly skilled, hands-on engineer with strong technical expertise and an interest in programming, who wants to take the next step in their career.\\n\\nYou’ll act as the lead engineer on site, working closely with project managers, guiding junior engineers, and delivering stunning AV and smart home systems.\\n\\nThis role offers variety, autonomy, progression and the chance to work on some incredible highend. We pride ourselves on being a supportive, forward-thinking employer with low staff turnover, providing career development and training opportunities to help our team thrive.\\n\\nPay, Benefits and Working hours\\n\\n * Flexible working: Split your time between home, the office, and client sites.\\n\\n * Career growth: Training, industry certifications, and professional development.\\n\\n * Salary £40,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)\\n\\n * Performance-related bonuses\\n\\n * Company van\\n\\n * Pension and ongoing training support\\n\\n * Typical working hours: 7am–5:30pm, with two days per week working from home handling remote support.\\n\\n * On-call rota: One weekend per month (paid as overtime).\\n\\nAbout the Job\\n\\n * As an AV/Smart Home Service Engineer you’ll provide remote and on-site support, maintain system quality, and ensure excellent client service.\\n\\n * You’ll also contribute to help desk processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\\n\\n * Respond to support tickets promptly, providing remote and on-site solutions.\\n\\n * Ensure project quality assurance and smooth client onboarding.\\n\\n * Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, with thorough follow-up on all cases.\\n\\n * Support process improvements and actively contribute in team meetings.\\n\\nAbout You\\n\\n * Experience in AV, home automation, or smart home service / similar • with Control4, AV/video matrices, and IP networking. – ideal but not essential\\n\\n * Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.\\n\\n * Full, clean UK driving licence; willing to travel between client sites.\\n\\n * Detail-oriented, proactive, and a positive, collaborative team player.\\n\\n * Any knowledge of KNX, Lutron, Crestron, OvrC, or other home automation systems is a plus
