We're looking for a mechanically biased Installation & Maintenance Engineer to join a growing business with an excellent reputation. You'll play a key role installing and maintaining large pumping and plant equipment, supporting customers on-site and keeping machinery running safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, fault finding, and variety - with the backing of a supportive team and the tools you need to do the job properly.
The Role
- You’ll be working on customer sites (typically across the Midlands) carrying out installation, servicing and breakdown support on plant equipment including pumps, valves, hoses and associated systems. Please note: due to client requirements, you may occasionally be required to stay away from home overnight. Suitable accommodation will be arranged, and all expenses will be covered.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing and maintaining plant machinery and pumping equipment
- Attending breakdowns, carrying out repairs and getting equipment back online
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Completing safety documentation and ensuring compliance on-site
- Maintaining your tools, van stock and equipment
- Ensuring lifting equipment is tested and in date
- Producing clear job reports and paperwork
