Mechanical-focused Installation and Maintenance Engineer needed to join a growing business with a great reputation. You will support in the installation and maintenance of large pumping equipment. The ideal candidate is a mechanically focused engineer / technician, a team player with good communication skills.
Day-to-day duties:
- Working on site, usually within the Midlands
- Installing and maintaining plant machinery, including pumps, valves, hoses and more
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs as required
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Looking after tools and equipment, including your van
- Ensuring lifting equipment is tested and in date
- Being responsible for safety documentation
- Completing comprehensive reports
Key skills / experience:
- Time-served engineer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
