Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing technology consultancy where you'll move beyond traditional support and gain hands-on experience delivering infrastructure projects, cloud deployments and client solutions. As a smaller, ambitious business, you'll be given far greater exposure than you might find in a larger organisation. Working closely with experienced consultants and senior engineers, you'll play an active role across a variety of client projects while continuing to develop your technical skills. This role would suit somebody with a solid 2nd Line Support background who is keen to progress into infrastructure, projects and technical consultancy.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of infrastructure and networking projects.
- Assisting with the installation and configuration of switches, routers, firewalls and wireless networks.
- Supporting cloud migrations and client onboarding projects.
- Assisting with data migration and implementation projects.
- Providing 2nd Line technical support to business clients.
- Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows and network-related issues.
- Working alongside senior engineers on client deployments.
- Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent technical support.
- Learning new technologies and developing your infrastructure knowledge.
About You
We're looking for somebody who enjoys solving technical problems and is keen to continue learning. You'll ideally have:
- Experience within a 2nd Line IT Support position.
- Good all-round knowledge of IT infrastructure.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
- Basic networking knowledge (switches, routers, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A genuine desire to develop your career.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Exposure to Azure, networking, firewalls, virtualisation, CCTV, Ubiquiti or cloud technologies would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary
- £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
