We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Grays, Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established company, producing high-quality shutters for clients around the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld various materials using MIG and/or TIG while keeping quality high.
- Fabrication of sheet metal components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operating fabrication machinery (press brake, guillotine, rollers, etc.).
- Measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
- Working to deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met.
Key Experience and Skills and Knowledge
- Proven experience as a Welder or Fabricator.
- The ideal candidate will have a NVQ/apprenticeship/B-Tec in an engineering discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Own transport desirable due to location (preferred, not essential).
