Are you an experienced Estimator looking for a varied role within a growing manufacturing and engineering business? We are recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established company specialising in bespoke manufactured products. This role sits at the heart of the business, acting as the link between customers, sales and production teams to ensure projects are accurately quoted and delivered successfully.
This position would suit someone with estimating experience gained within manufacturing, engineering, construction products, fabrication or a similar technical environment.
The RoleAs an Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing customer enquiries, understanding technical requirements and preparing accurate quotations. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are costed correctly and delivered to specification.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing quotations and estimates from customer enquiries and specifications
- Creating and amending technical drawings using existing templates and libraries (training provided)
- Liaising with customers to understand project requirements
- Producing detailed cost breakdowns and tender submissions
- Working closely with production, sales and operations teams
- Managing multiple projects and enquiries simultaneously
- Providing technical support throughout the quotation and order process
- Ensuring accurate information is passed to production teams
- Previous estimating experience within a manufacturing, engineering or construction environment
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and project management abilities
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
