An established manufacturing and engineering business is looking to recruit an experienced CAD Estimator to support customers with quotations, technical drawings, and project coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD and estimating experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. The successful candidate will act as the link between customers, sales, and production, taking customer enquiries, producing drawings and quotations, and ensuring accurate information is passed through to the workshop team for manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing technical drawings using AutoCAD
- Preparing accurate quotations and estimates from customer enquiries
- Interpreting customer specifications and requirements
- Liaising with customers regarding drawings, amendments, and pricing
- Supporting the production team with technical information and drawings
- Working closely with sales and operations teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Managing multiple projects and enquiries simultaneously
- Supporting continuous improvement within processes and systems
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience within a CAD, estimating, or technical support role
- Strong AutoCAD experience
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or construction environments
- Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to work to deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
