We are working with a growing engineering and manufacturing company based in Essex who are looking to recruit a Workshop Engineer to join their technical team. This is a hands-on role working within an engineering workshop, supporting the assembly, testing and fault finding of electro-mechanical equipment used within commercial environments across the UK. This opportunity would suit someone with a mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical background who enjoys practical engineering work and wants to develop their skills within a stable and growing business.
Workshop Engineer responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of engineering equipment and components
- Supporting electro-mechanical systems and hydraulic equipment
- Testing equipment and systems before installation
- Carrying out basic fault finding and reporting issues
- Supporting general workshop activities including stock organisation
- Completing workshop reports and technical documentation
- Assisting the engineering team with technical support when required
- Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
