Infrastructure Support Engineer (Projects) Colchester £30,000 - £40,000 Depending on Experience Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing technology consultancy where you'll move beyond traditional support and gain hands-on experience delivering infrastructure projects, cloud deployments and client solutions. As a smaller, ambitious business, you'll be given far greater exposure than you might find in a larger organisation. Working closely with experienced consultants and senior engineers, you'll play an active role across a variety of client projects while continuing to develop your technical skills. This role would suit somebody with a solid 2nd Line Support background who is keen to progress into infrastructure, projects and technical consultancy. Responsibilities include: * Supporting the delivery of infrastructure and networking projects. * Assisting with the installation and configuration of switches, routers, firewalls and wireless networks. * Supporting cloud migrations and client onboarding projects. * Assisting with data migration and implementation projects. * Providing 2nd Line technical support to business clients. * Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows and network-related issues. * Working alongside senior engineers on client deployments. * Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent technical support. * Learning new technologies and developing your infrastructure knowledge. About You We're looking for somebody who enjoys solving technical problems and is keen to continue learning. You'll ideally have: * Experience within a 2nd Line IT Support position. * Good all-round knowledge of IT infrastructure. * Exposure to Microsoft 365 and Windows environments. * Basic networking knowledge (switches, routers, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP). * Excellent troubleshooting skills. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * A genuine desire to develop your career. * Full UK Driving Licence. Exposure to Azure, networking, firewalls, virtualisation, CCTV, Ubiquiti or cloud technologies would be advantageous but is not essential.
